Happy New Year to all my family and friends who take the time to read this blog.
2022 was an amazing year. I started blogging in June and published my second book in October. Thank you to each of you that purchased my latest book. I trust you are enjoying the book. Travel is still #1 on my list of things to do. When I travel, I travel with books and have read over 15 books this year while traveling. Click here for a list of all books and my review for each.
In April 2022, I traveled to Utah and visited all five National Parks.
In June 2022, I visited Mackinaw Island in Michigan and met a new friend who snow-birds in Naples, Florida. I will be reconnecting with my new friend later this month.
My trip to Alaska in August 2022 was so much fun. The train from Anchorage to Denali was the best and the scenery did not disappoint.
My trips thus far had been solo since my husband died in 2017. However, in October 2022, I had the best time with my friend Jill on the Rocky Mountaineer train adventure in Utah.
On that same trip, I reconnected with my childhood friend, Liz in Loveland, Colorado. Jill, Liz, and I are now planning a reunion at Jill’s lake home – hopefully sometime soon in 2023!
In November 2022, I reconnected with my daughter in Milledgeville, Georgia. We had a great visit and took the time to meet Father Patrick Tuttle at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Macon, Georgia. Father Tuttle is the co-star of the YouTube channel Upon Friar Review!
Early December 2022, I took my first Virgin Voyage cruise and loved it.
The finale adventure for 2022 was a family trip to Costa Rica for Christmas. My son did an excellent job in planning this trip. We booked excursions together, but he picked an amazing Air BNB that provided a breathtaking view of the Arenal Volcano in LaFortuna, Costa Rica.
I won’t ruin the surprise, but my next blog will feature me (the old dog) doing new tricks (fun and amazing excursions) in beautiful Costa Rica.
